AM Vocal Studios is rated 4.8 out of 5 from 135 reviews on Trustpilot. All 135 are public there, and you can sort them however you want.
Read enough of them and the same four things keep coming up: the coach a student was matched with, explanations that go into vocal anatomy instead of vague advice, range and pitch changes students can actually point to, and the exercises they get to work on between lessons.
Ten of those reviews are below, quoted word for word. Typos and all, because fixing them would mean rewriting what people wrote.

Carla: 16 lessons, a four-octave range, and technical explanations
I had the pleasure to work with Carla Newland and I will for sure keep working with her. In just 16 lessons she was able to make me discover I had 4 octaves range (D2 – F5), explained me exactly how to unlock head voice, activate the soft palade, improve the quality of the sound of my voice and more. Very competent teacher, all explanations she gave me were technical and anathomy based as I asked. 150% satisfied of these lessons we had together.
Carla: private voice lessons over Zoom, range and on-pitch accuracy
I just completed my first round of private voice lessons with Carla. Today I feel much more confident singing in front of people. My range has increased significantly. I’m more accurate at signing notes on pitch. Carla is very good at crafting exercises that address the specifics of where I am. I was a beginner, so I needed a lot of basic instruction. She’s always kind and supportive, while also challenging me to learn and improve. I was surprised at how well voice coaching can work over Zoom. It’s worth a go if you want to improve your singing!
Carla: progress in a few weeks on things that took years
Carla is an amazing teacher. She helps me in moments to understand things I have spent years trying to learn. I have gained so much in only a few weeks!
Belu: a complete beginner at 66
I was a complete beginner at singing. No training and no encouragement from friends or family in my 66 years. My singing instructor, Belu Garcia Calabrese, is knowledgeable, skilled at teaching/coaching, patient, and enjoyable to learn with. She is encouraging and fun. An excellent instructor. I had a very positive experience and would choose her as an instructor again and recommend her to others.
Belu: voice range, tone, and a way through difficult songs
Belu taught me a lot in a short space of time. Not only improving my voice range and tone but also how to compromise on difficult songs to sing it a different way. I also liked how Belu taught me how to sing with more feeling in a song.
Patty on Belu: personalized instruction and assignments
I’ve been working with Belu since April. She is “very” patient, kind, and fun to work with. She gives great advice and great assignments to work through what I need to learn. She actually understands exactly what I want to learn and do. I didn’t know that I would find that. I’m very happy with her. Thank you Belu.
Belu: weekly exercises matched to the student’s level
Belu is an amazing teacher. My skills have definitely improved. She’s kind and professional. Every week she gives me exercises according to my level. She gave me the confidence to keep going even when I was ready to give up and I’m so glad I listened. I always look forward to my classes with her!
Belu and Prakhar: thought they were tone deaf
I worked with Belu and Prakhar for the majority of the time I was coached and I have nothing but praise for these two. I thought I was tone deaf and it wasn’t until working with them that I was able to accurately hit notes when played. Both of these coaches/tutors worked hard to get me to where I am now. They listened to where I was at currently and provided a road map with tips to help progress me. If I became stuck, they pivoted and tried something else to course correct me. So a massive thank you to both Belu and Prakhar for your help
Prakhar: coming back from a vocal injury
I am very grateful to have found AM Vocal Studios. This is really a very professional vocal coaching service. I came to them with a vocal injury—hoarseness and wobbliness, and my hope was not that they would magically turn me into a polished singer, but that I could regain the ability just to enjoy using my voice again. Singing, even just for myself, is one of life’s joys. My patient and knowledgeable coach, Prakhar Saxena, has been more than wonderful, encouraging me with very useful exercises, giving me confidence, and celebrating my improvement as I progress. For me, this has been a very worthwhile investment, and I appreciate so very much all the support and expertise I have received from Prakhar.
Prakhar: 16 weeks of coaching at 75
I just finished 16 weeks of coaching with Prakhar. He is very knowledgeable and also good at adapting our lessons to my abilities (or lack thereof 🙂 and my interests and goals. He is personable and a delight to be with. I am a 75-year-old retired teacher, and it was so much fun to take direction from someone so much younger than me. He was able to do that because he comes from mastery. He knows his stuff!
Where these reviews come from
They are Trustpilot reviews, all of them marked unprompted, which means the student went and wrote it without us asking. The ten quoted above were posted between March 31 and June 20, 2026.
Most reviewers on Trustpilot show a headline rather than a first name, so only Patty is named here. Where a review named a coach, we kept the name in.
A 4.8 average means not every review is five stars, and we have not taken anything down or hidden anything. What you see above is ten reviews chosen to fit on one page, not the whole picture. The whole picture is on Trustpilot, where you can sort by lowest rating first and read whatever you like.
If you’re thinking about lessons
The cheapest way to find out whether our teaching works for you is a course. Our self-paced singing courses start at $49 one-time with lifetime access, and every one of them carries a 14-day money-back guarantee, so you can go through the material and get a refund if it isn’t the right fit.
If you want a coach listening to your voice, book a free call with a vocal advisor from the vocal coaching page. They’ll hear where your voice is now, tell you which program fits, and match you with a coach. It costs nothing and there’s no obligation to sign up afterwards.
If you’re comparing us against other teachers, that’s the sensible thing to do. We wrote a guide on how to choose an online vocal coach that lays out what to ask before you pay anyone, including us.
